PERMITTED/PROHIBITED ITEMS Thank you for helping to keep Red Rocks a beautiful and peaceful place by respecting our unique natural resources. All park entrances can access all parking lots. A valid, appropriate handicap placard or license plate is required to park in a space identified as reserved for persons with disabilities. For access to the front row, Row 1, the parking is at the Upper South Lot. For access to the top of the amphitheatre, Row 70, parking is available in the Top Circle Lot. Please check your tickets for the locations of your seats before parking. Handicapped parking: Designated accessible parking for persons with disabilities is in two locations. ![]() Each of these areas is patrolled and you will be towed. **NOTE** NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING PERMITTED!! NOTE: Do not park on the Highway, at entrances to the Park, on private property, Alameda Parkway, or in the town of Morrison. Patrons are asked to follow directions of parking personnel and park as close as possible to other cars. Selected shows will have parking open earlier than the standard. Come early to avoid traffic hassles and to get the best parking and best access to seating. Parking lots usually open 1/2 hour prior to door time. Price is included in the price of your ticket. Once inside the venue, there are restrooms located in the Visitor Center, on the plaza at the north and south ends, to the left and right of the stage on the south ramp, and at the north stairs.Parking is available on site. The line for port-a-potties in the parking areas can get quite long, especially right before the show is about to start. Think burritos and nachos, pizza and pretzels, and bratwursts and hot dogs. If you don’t eat beforehand, your options inside the venue are limited. Small gas-controlled grills are allowed in the lots, but due to the fire risk, keep your charcoal grills at home. Eat a balanced meal to ensure you have enough energy to make it through the night. ![]() At 6,000 feet high, Red Rocks has two staircases, each about 380 steps, which take visitors from the lower parking lot to the upper concession level, so wear comfortable shoes. Bring a light rain jacket or something that will keep you warm when the sun goes down. Check the weather, but in Colorado, it’s always smart to plan for rain. If you start tailgating early, bring sunscreen or a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Although it is the farthest away and requires a long trek uphill to the venue entrance, the Lower South is bigger than any of the other three lots, making it the perfect spot for a party. The fan favorite for tailgating is the Lower South Lot. There are four parking lots that open three hours before the event start time. For as little as $30, you can take a party bus or shuttle to the venue, guaranteeing that you’ll get home safely. For the uninitiated, here are five tips for tailgating at Red Rocks.
